Who am I?
Hiya, I’m Aponi, a very passionate graphic designer with a degree in Visual Communication Design with a double major in Animation & Illustration and UX & Interaction Design at the University of Newcastle. I’m keen about learning, experiencing new things, and tackling challenges head-on. I love combining creativity and strategy to craft designs that are visually engaging, meaningful, and make the brain wonder.

What experience do I have?
Over the past five years, I’ve gained experience across multiple industries, working with both large and small companies. Through my roles at Emergent Group and The Measured Marketer, I’ve been subcontracted to deliver a wide range of projects for conferences and events. Alongside this, I’ve also freelanced while at these companies, creating branding, digital campaigns, marketing assets, and print materials for various clients.

What inspires my work?
I draw inspiration from the creative work of others on platforms like Behance, Pinterest, and Instagram. I love exploring new techniques, watching tutorial videos, and testing out different approaches to see what works. Seeing how other designers solve problems motivates me to experiment and push my own work further.

My goals are to continue growing as a designer, with a stronger focus on product design and developing my UX and UI skills. I’m also passionate about building on all areas of design, continuing to learn, and taking on new challenges that expand my creative and technical abilities.

Outside of design, what do I enjoy?
Outside of design, I enjoy a range of hobbies including hiking, spending time in nature, gaming, travelling, and seeking out new adventures. I love experiencing new places and perspectives, which often feeds back into my creativity and approach to design.
